Who We Are
ClimatePlan is a new network of leading organizations that have come together to inform and educate California’s local, regional and state decision-makers about the global warming-land use connection.
The ClimatePlan network works to promote land use policies and public investment to achieve AB 32 greenhouse gas emission reductions targets, improve quality of life in California and serve as a model for national action.
What We Do
Educate Stakeholders and Policymakers. We work with key state agencies, local governments and stakeholders to ensure that AB 32 implementation includes strategies for promoting sustainable land use and transportation.
Bring Diverse Constituencies to the Table: Any new policy adopted by the State of California must work for our state's diverse regions and communities. ClimatePlan is reaching out to stakeholders and constituencies across California to foster their participation in designing AB 32's land use policies.
Promote Innovations and Model Policies. We have created a regional pilot program in the Bay Area to ensure the Regional Transportation Plan helps meet AB 32 targets. We are also working with local government staff and organizations to create new, model general plans and other land use policies that help achieve AB 32 targets.
